Blogs are a phenomenal way for your child to enhance their writing and technological skills! When your student is writing to a larger audience on the web, he or she will be more likely to be concerned with how their writing looks and sounds to the reader. Here is a video that provides a quick overview of what blogging actually is. The video below is what I will show my younger students before we begin blogging. According to ( Why Teachers And Students Should Blog: 18 Benefits of Educational Blogging , 2018), when a student is able to blog, he or she is able to take ownership of their own content, develop new literacies, explore their creative side, boost confidence, make reflections, work on digital literacy and digital citizenship, have a voice, and make global connections.
