Email

Email is a wonderful way for your child to communicate with me at any time of the day or week! If your child has a question or concern, an email can be sent to me anytime and I will get back to your child at my earliest convenience.

Here is a video to help students learn how to email their teacher(s) using Gmail.

In most people's lives, email plays an important part. Your child can begin to reap the benefits of email right now. Not only can your child communicate with his or her teacher, but your child can also communicate with other students in the class (2019). As your child's teacher, I can send out announcements to everyone in the class or provide feedback on an assignment that was turned in (2019). Another benefit of using email is that your child will be able to refer back to an email for help if it is needed later on; this is not the case if your child merely receives verbal help. Your child does not have to be in the classroom in order to receive the email, which provides an opportunity to extend learning. Furthermore, if your child is a shy student, sending email would allow him or her to ask questions that he or she is too scared to ask in class.

Learning how to use email is a skill that your child will benefit from for the rest of his or her life! Chances are, your child will be using email for a long time after leaving the elementary classroom. As you can see, starting with email now will provide long-term benefits!
